Our Story

From a classroom capstone to a national ambition

AiVDGS started as a capstone research project — an attempt to answer a simple question: could computer vision make aircraft docking guidance safer and more accessible for airports of every size? That question has since grown into a focused effort to build one of the Philippines' first homegrown aviation technology platforms, aiming to prove that local engineering talent can solve real problems for the industry it serves.

Lingayen Airport, Pangasinan

AiVDGS collaborated with FAST Aviation Academy, Inc., a flight training institution operating since 1992, to bring our docking guidance concept into a real airside environment at Lingayen Airport in Pangasinan. The engagement let us validate our computer-vision approach outside the lab — against real aircraft, real lighting conditions, and the operational pace of an active training airfield.

It's the kind of ground-truth testing that shapes a system built for actual airport use, not just a research bench — and the first of the field partnerships we're looking to grow as AiVDGS matures.
